if Vancouvers scene was even 1/10th of the Scene in Seattle then I would never complain in my life

correct me if I am wrong.
hmmm there are plenty of good djs in seattle i'm sure... i haven't heard enough but the ones i've checked out were pretty good. gotta add aaron simpson, and of course donald glaude. aaron simpson hasn't been here yet to drop a dnb set but i got a good feeling on that dude.

other then seattle, vancouver is definetly on the rise for talent. i've seen a new wave of dj's here that are constantly getting better and better. alot of djs here can stand up against the top 50 in the world and play respectable sets. in the past 6 months i've been blown away by many performances by our locals.

aww... van's is better in diff ways... seattle is better in some ways... that's the whole point. its all just what you dig.

we do have a def diff styl of DnB... less vocal shit, less like funky groovy shit, more yeah techy and just like crazy shit. lol... i dunno evn how to explain it. i <3 our DnB tho... like aaron simpson, juggler, edotdj, zacharia, demo, doc schmickyl, ill cease, arithmattick, syze, rama, no-thing, the list goes on and on... we have MAD tight dnb heads here. but anywayz...

its BECAUSE our scenes are so different that we have to NOT talk shit, and come together to make BOTH our scenes more diverse.

that's what its BOUT. expanding the electronic music community.

COMMUNITY. <3

getting fuckd up? hardly bro.. its bout SOAKING UP SICK BEATS.
that's why I go.

I cannot take any seriousness to your comment, "You only say that because your scene is shit." due to the fact that you have no idea what our scene is like. How can you possibly judge something that you have never experienced?

I say this, because our scene is THE SHIT. and so is vancouver's. i love them both. Why you think i drive like 2 hours to go back and forth. Cuz it's worth it. Because each scene has something special bout it that the other one doesn't.

It has nothing to do with if im a "cool" guy or not. Its my personal opinion and last time I checked I was entllted to it. And believe me its not like I can create any sort of tension. I personally have nothing to do with djing or raves at the moment I just say it how it is. PS - You would hear a ton more djs saying the same thing if it werent for their "reputation" they were looking after.

anyway it is my own opinion and I stated it so I will leave it at that and let the thread wither.

Maybe some of ppl opinions of Seattle's scene "being shit" has to do with all the hype. Its like Oakenfold. Everyone expects the best and somethign way better than what theve ever scene. However when I last went to see him (and many agree) he was an absolute disapointment.

Us from Vancouver know that Seattle is indeed a bigger city therefore expect things to be "better" down there then here. Also our promoters make a huge deal and bring up alot of hype for a "Seattle" dj. So of corse when there just as good as any of our talent of corse were a lill disapointed.

"greater expectations leads to greater disapointment"
