Why would someone pay $1000+ for a scratch mixer and replace the sliders with knobs?

i can see the reason for this mod...there's no such thing as a rotary 3 channel mixer...nobody makes one (granted this isnt a true rotary like the bozak or mp2016) but its probably the closest way to get a 3 channel rotary rane mixer, and get that signature rain sound. Still a lot cheaper then purchasing a rane rotary mixer for 4g's though.

pioneer makes a kit with rotary knobs for the 600....it'll still sound like ass though.
