i'm using the vestax 175's
its a great mixer for mixing but if i wanna get into scratching this is NOT the mixer yhou wanna buy

i think u should just get a very basic 2 channel mixer with 3 band eqs for each channel and an adjustable crossfader (if u wanna get into scratching)

getting a super decked out mixer isnt gonnna help you much if you have no clue what yur doing but if u learn how to mix seamlessly with a very simple mixer, the feature on mixers like the pioneer djm600 will blow yur mind.

sometimes kill switches on mixers can come in handy for some quick cuts and stuff but i recommmend the train yurself to cutting out bass by using just the knobs.... prolly train you alot better

i recommend getting
numark prosm-2
numark dm3000x
stanton sk 2f
stanton sk 6f

all these mixers have optical faders
mmmmmmm i love them

Lenny is on a distinguished road
mixers

I suggest goin out and gettin the most inexpensive mixer you can find. Anything that will get you started mixin. Once your beatmatching and mixing skills are godlike, you'll probably want to upgrade, and even then you can rent a more complex mixer and learn that way. You might also find after a couple months you decide it's just not for you. Anyway wouldn't you rather save your money for vinyl??

DJ'ing is to damn expensive!

its ALL about the 1200's

hehe

i've tried citronics (i think thats how its spelt), american dj, numark and stanton ones
they all suck for beatmatching.... its possible but the wheels always fly and i couldnt see myself being able to beatmatch fast enough in a stressful enviornment on those things
NOTHING compares to the awesome torque of the technics wheelz of steel!

dunno about denon tho
