First tip: never buy a record that you don't like.

Second tip: never listen to anyone else's opinion about what "good" music is. Respect their opinion, but don't follow it blindly.

Go to a record store, online or on the street, and listen. Buy what you like.

Hi, my name is vague question.

I can recommend countless songs. Good luck finding most of them on vinyl, though.

Best bet, yeah, is to go to the record shops, see what they have, give a few a listen and buy what you like.

Otis has two locations on Davie Street, Beatstreet is on Hastings down by Amsterdam Cafe, Boomtown is on Burrard, near Davie. Scratch on Richard's and Zulu on 4th (Near Burrard) are both good for really nice records but don't let you preview much.

Good luck, happy hunting
