Alot of serprises and disapointments...

The bigest jumps were made by:

DJ Vibe (up 40 spots)
Richie Hawtin (up 32 spots)

Lady Dana (down 49 spots)
Andy C (down 44 spots)

But its just a list and doesnt really mean anything... right baby phat :p

Anyways I dont understand either how especialy scratch dj's never make it? There amazing and personaly I think there true masters of dj'ing. My only other guess is that these ratings are based more on polls of the public... there for who is the most well known dj top 100.

It goes to show that the masses idea of a good dj is one that can mix a trance track into another trance track, all the while over-enthusiasticly fiddling with the eq's on his mixer as if he were actually creating something of his own!

Looks like most the people who voted are probably wankers who dont even know what a turntablist is.

No they don´t, no tiefschwarz, trentemoller, any of the italian house dj´s,.... very few house dj´s.... and no hardcore dj either.

djmag is seriously one terrible terrible magazine.

i remember being at a rave in praha five years ago, and the headliner was PVD and i thought i was going to slit my throat, as there wasnt a single broken beat in the place(trust me i looked!) But man, did the crowd there support! 5 thousand people going off when he came on.

hmmm one dnb dj? and a token at that.?

this list was just a popularity contest. The djs were ranked on how many votes they recieved. It had nothing to do with who is the better producer or dj.

There are a few names on there that I'm glad to see like Hawtin, Vath, Dave Clarke and especially Ricardo Villalobos. I saw Ricardo in Ibiza with Vath, he was really good.
