Oldies, what are your favourites?

Alright, I just thought I would make a thread asking what people listen to that are considered Oldies. And I am not just talking electronic, I am talking all music.

For instance, personally I have been listening to Etta James and Frank Sinatra lately. It's good to go back to older times and appreciate the music of that decade/century.

Other old stuff I have been listening to lately, is Supertramp. I love the piano in it.

Nice, I love that soundtrack, I love that movie. I find that's how I get into types of music, is because I hear it in a movie and then I have to listen to more of that specific artist :D

paul simon - still crazy after all these years
fleetwood mac - dreams
genesis - thats all
genesis - easy lover

bah ima go eat lunch, ill add more songs later

Anything Etta, Aretha, Al, Marvin, Stevie, oh lordy I could go on. Funky, deep, and soulful music... That has heart in every note. Proudly raised on oldies :)

Mmmm gotta love the soulful music eh? I think that's why I like Alicia Keys, she seems to tap into that kind of music and brings a modern edge to it, but it's always nice to come back to the the roots!

Ahh fleetwood mac, I love their album, hands down the best one they made, my mom and I use to listen to it on road trips!

A diva yes, but so humble... if you have ever heard her interviewed, you are in awe at the fact that she is just so down to earth, fame has not touched her at all and I hope she stays that way.

I was going for a different interpretation of diva:

Alicia does seemed humbled. I didn't mean it in a negative "J-Lo is such a diva" type way. More of along the lines that Alicia (and her influences) are skilled at their craft and their talent commands respect. :)

sorry, habit, seems like nowadays, the word diva has a negative connotation!
