Question For Van Breaks/DnB promoters?

As iv been on this forum iv noticed that most dnb and breaks club nights fall midweek even when you guys have a big name act .

I was just wondering why this is ?

Is it some how cheaper to have a big name play midweek?

Is there just to many shit top forty/mainstream dance clubs on the weekends for underground nights to get a look in?

Do clubers prefer to go out midweek?

Whats the deal?

Automatic/Soda or Dabbler can back me up on this but cats in the DnB scene don't want to pay $20+ for a show unless they absolutely have to.

To book some of the names that have come into town as of late on a Friday or Saturday would be big $ and in turn that means that tickets would have to be raised higher. The thought is bring the talent during the week, get them cheaper so that way tickets don't go higher than $15 (usually).

Breaks wise, I rarely bring peeps during the week. I would rather bring them on a Friday or Saturday, have tickets be a bit higher... But that's the Breaks scene.

ya pretty much that, midweek can be as little as half the price to book an artist, than for the weekend, and since clubs have top 40 nights on fri/sat they make more money on those anyways...
