Wednesday?

Any recommendations on a good place to chill and have a few drinks w/friends on Wednesday night? I wanna have all of my friends together and having fun that night (it's my b-day!) but a lot of them don't like the 'club scene'...so I'm thinking just a good bar or pub....

i'd say the up and down lounge but the waitress there is a bitch, so i am going to recomend the crime lab.

they've got a pretty comprehensive list of pubs/bars/clubs etc, and if you can manage to wade through the stupdity on their board, you can usually find some good advice.

my advice? uhh... the cambie! can't go wrong with that.

Haha. I love the two suggestions, the Crime Lab and the Cambie, can't get much further apart on the spectrum than that. :D

depends how much $$$ u wanna spend, and if u want a "chic" or "bar" type enviroment

here's a few

john b's (in coq - pub)
woody's (in coq - bar)
up + down (downtown - restaurant downstairs, drinking lounge upstairs)
earls (anywhere - bar - usually has awesome drink specials)
wax (port moody/coq - bar'ish cheap beer + eats)
hollywood north (downtown - karaoke lounge)
