When people talk about intimate details about you behind your back

I've got 2 mutual friends that I've known since I was like 18. One of them I had slept with we had a little thing for a while. I was talking to one of them yesterday and she was telling me that she had been asking him all the personal questions about when we slept together. I didn't get a chance to say anything to her because I was at work. I talked to him and he had nothing to dispute it. He said oh... wow that's such a great explanation of why you're getting into personal shit about me. I get people are going to talk about us sleeping together but the kinda questions she was asking him are none of her business, and way to personal for open discussion. I'm so not amused with my friends right now.

aside frome the fact that this isnt in the 'heart to heart' section meant for advice...

dawn: you dont need advice. people like other people's business; so they talk about it. its hurtful but they dont care. no its not right but it IS part of life. I'm sorry this happend to you. Dont waste too much time being mad at your friends, just look at it like now you know something about them... they talk about people behind their backs, so dont trust them not to do it again.

well it also depends on the kind of response she was looking for..

sometimes people are seeking more of a general statistic on what the public's opinion is on a situation, and not a personalized reccomendation or advice based on the details of the situation.

She's not asking for advice and it would piss me off too. Asking if you've slept with someone and if the sex was good or not is a little personal, but asking about intimate details is really tacky and creepy.
