Done with partying

Lately it seems that I have been going to less and less parties. I just don't enjoy them as much as I used to anymore and feel no urge to go to them. I used to get so excited to go to one every weekend! It seems like something has changed and there is all this drama and stupid shit that happens now. Maybe I just never noticed it before because I was too busy having a good time? The only thing that keeps me going now is the music . Most of the friends that I partied with are starting to do other things and don't ever go anymore either, its just not the same without them:( I feel like I am almost ready to quit for good. I don't want to but I do want to. I don't know. It seems like I only go to parties out of habit, intsead of going becuase I want to. Argh.

join the club..id be completely out of the party scene if my closest friends werent all partiers....im getting pretty fuckin sick of it.

Don't feel bad. It's not your fault. It's just that raves suck. Yes back in the day they were fun. It'd be kinda cool to go to one and have fun like I used to but what can you do.

I don't even know where to start. I know for me part of it is that things have changed, another part of it is that I see things I didn't used to see and I just kinda grew outta it and it got old.

That seems to be exactly what is happening to me. I see things that I never used to notice about parties, and they aren't things that I want to see. It just takes so much away from it all.

I think alot of us are still partying simply because our friends are. I'm all for house parties. Good friends + good music + sleep after - drugged up fuckasses = good times

^^ It's just not the same without my old friends though. I am probably not actually going to full out quit for a little while still, but the fact that the idea has crossed my mind was a big shock to me.

whenever I do go (which is never). I only end up lasting about two hours before I wanna hit some raver. Like those little girls in the booty shorts I see at every rave now.

Raves are totally not what they used to be. Now when I go I feel like I'm the oldest one there and I'm only 26. I feel like I'm in high school again with all these fucking young kids. And whats up with knowing where the party is like months ahead. When I use to go we never knew until that night and that way the parties never got busted. They are so mainstream now. Whats up with that...

I don't think you really need to say you are quitting. it's not like a job or something. You just go when you feel like it and don't when it doesn't interest you. It seems like raving is this huge commitment to so many people like a relationship.
Goodbye rave I'm leaving you. we have had good times in the past but we have grown appart. You have changed. I just don't like who I am when i'm around you anymore.

Bah its just a party just like any other party. It is something to do with your friends or by yourself. You go to the bar or you go to a house party. It's just up to your mood. You go one week you do something else another. If it's not your thing you just don't go. Ravers are so dramatic lol.
Don't mind me it just seems like this rave retirement thing going on is such a huge deal. Especialy lately, I don't know.

living in fort nelson my whole life and only having one shit hole bar i fucking love raves, everything about them is a million times better anything ive ever been exposed too.I grew up doin bush parties and house parties so raves are a totall change of pace for me in the right direction.

Nothing wrong with taking a break for awhile and seeing what else is out there. To much of a good thing seems to always make whatever that thing is (in your case raves) seem less special then it used to be. Kind of like eating your fav food over and over again... after awhile you really dont feel like having it anymore and you crave something diff. This isnt worded the best but I think you catch what I am saying.
Take a break and then the next time you decide to go you mite get that feeling back that you lost. That and perhaps find some new friends to rave with.

i guess raving at first is this amazing new lifestyle and it consumes people(including myself). Nothing else mattered. Every penny earned was pumpd right back into party scene.
