if you're an accepted applicant, you go to a location in an impoverished part of canada, build a house, etc sorta like a big brother sorta thing. this lasts for 6 months. for the next six months you get shipped out to a third world country and do it there. :Y: |

I love people - I do a lot of volunteering with kids for that very reason - one day I'd like to be a teacher But you made a post that you said you were going to go off even though the post was in jest -- so I decided that looked like a fun thing to do too :) Although I must admit, after posting LIFE is Beautiful I was hoping that wouldn't be misunderstood as a pro life message though I am all about the beauty that is life..I am all about the beauty that is choice as well ....I got to thinking, is it hypocritical to say that ? I was serious earlier -- you are a smart guy - and faux argument is good for the mind. So what do you think - I tell you I think life is beautiful, yet in the next breath I tell you I believe in abortion What do you think? |

i'd like to disclaim the smart comment and replace it with the word 'hairy and oppinionated', first off.
Life is amazing. After going through that hardcore junky stage, sobriety has never been so appreciated. It's awe inspiring the lessons picked up in life. As for pro-choice, we're in the same boat. Very touchy subject. If a woman gets pregnant, can't support the child or herself, it's irresponsible to bring a child into this world without being able to provide the means to care for him/her. At the same time, i believe it's vital for a child to grow up with two parental roles guiding infancy. Deadbeat mothers and fathers can rot in hell. No matter what the age, how could you NOT want to raise a child, your child, to be anything but the best he or she can ever be? I'd fight to my last penny for my kid, give everything i had, and more. You don't just bring a kid into the world and not man-up. blah. touchy touchy subject. |
