over-eating disorder
i have an eating disorder. i eat constantly, anything i can pretty much find i eat, even if it's borderline edible. i have a very high motabolism and i don't do anything either then going to school where i sit around and talk with my friends. After school i don't do anything active, like i've very un-active. i'm 5'11 at 155 lbs and i have practically no fat on me but yet i eat and eat and eat. i wanna stop but i can't. if i don't eat i get really hungry and then severe stomach pains come. the longest i've gone with out eating, not including when i sleep is probably about 3 hours and after that i gorge on food. anyone know anything that can help?

I'm pretty much the same way. Just enjoy your metabolism dude. I wouldn't recommend anything that would suppress your appetite, because you don't need it. If this problem of yours is starting to hurt your wallet however, maybe just try to stay busy? I know when I get busy doing something I don't eat very much until it's done.

The correct diagnosis of "over eating" is pradar willies. Ive worked with students who have this disorder. They ALWAYS feel hungry and it drives them tot he point were thell eat anything (leafs, out of garbage cans, steel etc) They dont get that feeling we do of feeling full.
I think its normal for teenagers to over eat with out getting over weight. Your growing and have a very high matabulism. You could have stretched your stomach out so it takes more food to fill. Like I said I think this is normal if your young. Just make sure your eating mostly healthy food and get out of this habbit when you reach 19. |

I eat every 2-3 hrs usually. I eat in small amounts and have many "small meals" a day. Supposedly it is better for you, but I don't really have a choice - I'm just hungry that often... And I get really weak/dizzy/grumpy or all at the same time if I don't eat often enough. I think I may actually have a bloodsugar type condition, but I dunno. So far, it has worked fine for me to just remember to eat something good ever couple of hours to keep my bloodsugar up.
I dunno if you are eating big or small amounts of food, but if you have a high metabolism and you're still growing, isn't that kinda normal to eat a lot and often? It seems to be the case with most guys I know anyways... |
