I don't think the trial was fixed.
The prosecution team had a weak offensive and the defence team came into it really prepared.

They constantly talk about how retarded the victims mother sounded on the stand. Not to mention they had a long history of trying to extort money out of rich people/companies.

If M.J. was guilty of the crime, he's definately lucky that the kids mom was such an idiot.
