actually no man it`s one of the most enjoyable venues to play .there`s always big crowds 350ppl.+ ,dance floors packed,and the ppl. really appreciate the music. always a great vibe and some of the city`s best residents.

it went really well :)
aside problems with the sound...
they had to cut out to a hard house CD :soak: 4+ times to fix the moniters and mixer and whatnot... :(

I have a lot of respect for everyone who comes out to my night,,, and you don't see me talking shit about your guys' events. i think jimboski didn't mean it that way, but if he offended you. i wanna say sorry on behalf of my side. i've been to viva myself, and the place is quite vibey. Lots of smiling faces and indeed worth checking out. Good tunes too if u like the thumping basslines and they got a cool green laser there too! ;)

Thanks for that,,, it didn't really offent me to tell you the truth. It just kind of pisses me off because the crowd that comes out to my night these days is a lot diffrent than from the crowd which seems to have this bad reputation that people spoke about in the past.

hmmm...if that's tru then maybe i'll go chek it out on a friday sometime...~ well me personally think that viva's a pretty nice venue and not over crowded like some clubs can be....and it gets quite tiring and annoying when people are automatically judgemental about the place rite when you even mention the name "viva".
There may be a lot of old nammers or old hongers there..and yea maybe sometimes they do play too much "chinese rave" tracks....but that doesn't mean that the vibe can't be great and the people having a good time and enjoying themselves~ There are many clubs in vancouver which = different choices for different ppl....we shouldn't judge or put anything down just becuz it's not the choice for us...
do i make sense? ..just how i see it..

2 things...

A.) We don't play ANY chinese music at out our night. Music style= Trance and Progressive

B.) The club is at capactiy every week

I'm guessing that you haven't been to our night before,,, just ask for me @ the door so you don't have to pay cover,,, but make sure to rember yer ID ;-)

i think she's talking about the saturday nights there :soak: but yah. the club's worth checking out - they play some hard thumpin trance that gets everyone jumpin - i've seen it :284: its like 24/7 packed like a mofo every friday, so i think u should go early too if u do go.

One thing I can guarantee is that you will not hear any chinese rave anthems at our night, hahaha.

Danny and I hate cheese, and while some DJs occasionally slip in the odd cheese track (at which point you'll usually see me cringe, hahaha), the tunes are rocking. The DJs we book keep up to date on the tunes, and you'll hear the latest prog at the beginning of the night (think Holden, Sasha, Kleinenberg, Hybrid), leading into the latest trance ala Armin, MIKE, Tiesto, PVD by the end of the night.

If you haven't checked out Viva in a while and think it's all chinese rave anthems, then you are missing out and should come check it out. Toss me a PM and I'll guestlist you.

yea i was referring to the saturday nites at viva....never been there on a friday so ..maybe time to go chek it out~ :trippin:
