Kid Kenobi?
From Australia, Kid Kenobi has mixed the last two Ministry of Sound Guides to Breaks. Reigning Dj of the year twice in a row in Australia. Who here's heard of him?
Better yet, would anyone come out to a club night with him?

haha i remember walking away from Home and there was this preteen chick outside begging him to take her home with her... bwahahaha she was literally on her knees! haha but yeah hes a star in aussie. cant say i really listened to his sets the few times i saw him play...... i was WAYYYYY too fuckin hosed to care. :284:

Whatever any show can be sold, just have to promote it right.....
Kid Kenobi is dope, but A LOT of peeps don't know him, and as far as saying only breaks heads know him...well duh... of course, but thats your core crowd, you got them, just have to sell it to the masses... fuck if I had a dollar for everyone I took a chance on.... you have to promote to educate... thats the only way the scene keeps making ground.

And now that you mention it, yeah maybe I will bring Kid Kenobi.... nobody knew who half the DJs I've brought here over the years and we seem to always come out on top..... Sorry dude, that's weak! Why do you think Kid Kenobi isn't name out here? Like Soda said, those who know will support, you gotta promote to get the rest out. Kid Kenobi is a name everywhere but here, make people aware. I'd promote this if I could, cause the money is not my main concern.

If Kid Kenobi is as good as his hype, chances are he's gonna tour North America once he gets a few more production credits under his belt... Chances are he'd be hitting Seattle and all you gotta do is get him to come here. You could drive down and pick him up. If you fly the dude out from Australia and he asks for another grand on top of that, you should laugh at him. He's just a DJ, and he's only a superstar in Australia. Get him here, show him Vanvouver, let him crash on your couch, fill the club and maybe you'll break even. I doubt you'll be losing 2g's.
