Isis (Halifax) vs Akeel (Nu-Skool Breaks)
Our own little drummer boy has brought back a special guest from his cross country voyage for her first appearance in Vancouver. Isis has played all over the east coast sharing stages with the likes of Dave Ralph to Miss Honey, from the clubs of Montreal to the warehouse parties of Toronto. Beauty literally meets our Beast in what will be a show down of the darkest breaks you'll ever hear.

Arya vs Mirka L Cerny (Nu-Skool/prog. house)
Arya has been quietly playing his brand of Progressive house for the past few years at the legendary sold out Lifted Boat Parties. We've stolen him away from his stomping grounds to give the Pound audience a special treat as he squares off against Mirka L Cerny. Mirka has been hosting the friday night electronica show on CJSF Radio for the past few years, a residency with Funk Theory, all while dropping lessons at The Rhythm Institute. She will be dropping the broken beats for a nice breaks and progressive mash-up, this one will definately be interesting to say the least.

Psilocin vs K-Pryde (dnb)
Opening battle between two of Vancouver's rising dnb cats, Psilocin dominated open decks at last year's Solace and will be kicking off the festivities this weekend. K-Pryde has been churning out the dark rollers and has promised to give Psilocin a run for his money. Arrive early to see these two square off for the first time.
