So here's the "what up" for the next little while from your friendly neighbourhood dnb night, Automatic. All dates Tuesday nights unless otherwise stated.

july08: Resident's night with Matty, Jay, Psilocin, C-squared, and a special drop in from Bias and a couple of other locals as well....locals galore!

july 15: The one DJ CELCIUS, an Automatic fave, makes his first appearance since moving back to the 604. One of the tightest DJs in the scene and a Vancouver legend, with former residencies at groundbreaking nights Presha and Airtight.

july 22nd: ANDY B (TO) another Automatic favourite, one who manages to rip it every time he makes it to the left coast. The man who got the ball rollin' for dnb in Vancity, he's had releases on HARDLEADERS, and is a recent signee to FORMATION UK

july 29th: RAY KEITH (DREAD RECORDINGS, BLACKMARKET UK)...The dark soldier returns! RAY KEITH is one of the original jungle dons, having cut his teeth as a DJ and producer during the early days of breakbeat hardcore, pirate radio, and acid house. With over a decade of work under his belt, he's released tons of hit tracks, such as "There's Something Out There", "Chopper" and the all-time top rewind "Terrorist"...a drum and bass legend. $12 at the door.

aug. 05 MANOS-ONE birthday bash....We love the Manos, his impeccable skills as both a club DJ and a turntablist make him always welcome behind the Automatic decks....It's his birthday, come watch him stumble!

aug. 12 KAMANCHI with KRUST, DIE, and MC TALI, (V RECORDINGS/FULL CYCLE/REPRAZENT UK) What promises to be one of the best nights ever at automatic talent-wise, we welcome Full Cycle artists KAMANCHI, who consist of DJ KRUST and DJ DIE from RONI SIZE'S REPRAZENT project, alongside the talented MC TALI, touring for their "I KAMANCHI" lp. sept. 02 JOHN B (METALHEADZ, BETA, FORMATION UK) John B's appearance at Automatic last January went down as one of the hottest, sweatiest, craziest, sold out Automatics on record. Mr. Juan absolutley destroyed the dancefloor, keeping the packed house bumping 'til the wee hours. He's touring on the strenght of TWO new albums of material, one of harder drum and bass a la "UP ALL NIGHT' and "PROWLER", and one of more electro oriented tunes such as "ELECTROFREAK" and "BLUE EYESHADOW" Back to School madness!!! http://www.beta-recordings.co.uk/

sept. 23 SOUND MURDERER (REWIND/VIOLENT TURD Detroit) Head of Rewind records, Sound Murderer specializes in old-school ragga jungle mash-ups and dancehall throwdowns. His "Wired for Sound" mix cd on Kid 606's Viloent Turd recordings is one of the most insane jungle mixes of the last 10 years, comprising a staggering 60 tracks on 69 minutes. The listing:

Nice line up Jay! We beat you to Celcius though, he played at Tribeca 2 weeks ago, PHAT set by the way. I'll be by soon, looks like lots of great nights coming up!
