last Cheeky Electronica Classix
hey all,
so a 2 year tradition is about to come to an end. For the last 2 years, we have been dedicating the first Wednesday of each month @ Cheeky to electronica classix... On these nights, we play all the best tracks from 1990-1999 and nothing newer. These nights took a life of their own and established themselves, complete with a crowd that would come out once a month, just to catch the oldies.... But it is all about to come to an end. This Wednesday marks the ending of an era. Yes, this is the last Classix.... for now anyways... Why? Well, we are ending Cheeky. Yes, doing a club night IS a lot of work :-) So come catch it one more time while you can. If you are part of the old skool, you know what this is all about. And if you have not checked it out before, come see what you have been missing. Resident DJs Abasi (me!) and Mysha are usually joined by Vancouver veterans (such as Dr. Jones, Noah, Jay Auto, Moses, RC Lair). Seeing as this is the last Classix, we are bringing back Dr. Jones, who was the first guest we ever had, and has also been a key part of Classix over the years. So post your requests here. Oh yeah, doors open at 10pm, but come EARLY cause you may have difficulty getting in. I am not kidding... Classix and Cheeky have meant a lot to a lot of people and they are all going to be coming out to mourn the end of an era (and get really drunk... ) So come join me/us in this debauchery :-) Email me ([email protected]) if you want to be on the guest list and save the $6 cover charge. ffa - I think we have briefly thru someone or another...been quite a few times, tho the summer has been a dry spell so not of late...I'm crap for recognizing ppl so say Hhi first if u recognize me (easier since my pic is on my profile - minus the orange in the hair or...who knows...?)
POssibility of going ti;; 3? I say we lock the doors so no one can leave...that'll ensure the "how many of us there are" part...
