Kuma is on the roster this week for a DnB extravaganza , bringing the talented Amalia Townsend for vocal stimulation, with residents Revise, Stutterstep, and Den on the bass, bringing you the city's finest Dnb/Downtempo/HipHop night. Vibe is casual, cover is 5 bux, doors at 10. The Upstage Lounge is located at 1585 Johnston St on Granville Island, upstairs from the Backstage Lounge. (Kuma's note) Quite stoked to bring a rare collaboration with my girl Amalia up front as we've not had a go since UFO!'s first gig in Vancouver. Front woman for the band Sekoya, you may have seen her opening up for names like the Cinematic Orchestra, Spearhead and Medusa. She's a killer so I'm quite excited to be able to have her longside me for this gig. Jungle plus hot vocals equal a bad ass Saturday night
