VIVID Sessions is celebrating its 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY FRIDAY AUGUST 6TH!
NO COVER BEFORE 11:30PM * FIRST 100 GET A FREE DRINK * TONS OF FREE SWAG, CDs, PASSES It's been quite the year at VIVID Fridays @ SONAR, having brought out some of the biggest names in dance music week-after-week. Many thanks to all who have supported us over these insane months, espeically you here on Clubvibes who voted us the #1 Electronica Night in Vancouver. For our 1 year bash, all the VIVID Sessions residents Czech, REV, Kyle Nordman and Dr. Jones are in the house to deliver the House-Breaks-Progressive-Electro assault! Plus we've got rotating breaks boyz OJ, Soda, Shakes and Priceless (WFB & 20 Hz) teaming up in the upstairs Urban Lounge. So my buddy and I made the trek in from the boonies for this event, not bad, but not as many people as I figured would be there. Thanks to all there for not hassling us cuz we are as old as yer dads (like happened last time).
I talked with apri_peel and DJ Commisad, they aren't on here much but are on tranceaddict a lot. I was the guy in the white checkered shirt and my friend Lee was the older bald-headed Marco V lookalike who was bouncing around in the upstairs breaks room. First time he's heard that stuff and he liked it a lot. Now he wants to buy a subwoofer and disco ball & lights for his Cultus Lake house. Czech was fun to watch on the decks, lots of moves on the mixer etc. What is done with the third deck? (which was being reloaded with vinyl by a second DJ, while the main DJ worked the main pair of decks). Third deck has a beat on it?
