thats the ultimate chalange, getting people to where they dont want to be...
well, its not downtown, but there will be some sweet tunes, and a small crowd that you will actually be able to talk with.

anywhere down town will cost you like $10 for cover, and this is free, so there really isnt a downside there!!

not to sound negative, but being from richmond I know that you'll have maybe 10 people hanging out there on a saturday night for electronica of any sort. I was asked to be a promoter for Blox.......I tried to work up ideas, but it just seemed like everything had been tried, and failed, so I decided not to do it.

Yeah i was asked too. I did one night there with hugh from adrenelyn. We had like 60-70 ppl there. I'd never do it again though

^yeah...the only reason that there were that many people there is because they were all friends and friends of friends...that works sweet for special events nights, but for regular thur/fri/sat, not a friggin chance!

I think it's worth a shot..............what's the worst that can happen? No one goes...truthfully it is hard to do any night in any location in this city. But I believe there is enough passion in the small dedicated scene to make things go. I think expectations just need to be adjusted. Owners need to realize that we are not the UK and we cannot pull 200+ peeps a week especially in a suburban venue, but I still believe a solid showing is possible....
