Anyone been to the red room on saturday night??
going to check it out this weekend, want to know how it is...
good house and progressive??? and is that all they play all night?? that would be pretty nice.

as for personal opinions.

I haven't been there since it changed and became the red room (it was the drink before) and the speakers always sound like they're blown, the drink prices are high except for the specials but I don't drink vodka redbull. the crowd is typical electronic night mixed in with a pinch of trashy girls that can't get into shine. meh.

it's really, really, really good.

the music is always fantastic, in a housey spectrum. nicky delgado is an incredible dj, and the others aren't too bad either. ;)

i've been a couple of times and it's always been really busy. the crowd is a bit chachi-er than your average electronica club night, but everyone's friendly.

the drinks are kind of pricey, but doors don't open til 11 and the place doesn't get bumping til 12 so there's plenty of time for pre-drinking!

maybe i'll go this weekend.

and plaza doesn't do electronic, actually lets ask jim! he works there..

Richard's doesn't have electronic nights on weekends anymore unless it is a one off big name act.

Fridays there are hip hop, rnb, top 40 and Saturdays is a new latin type night.

the red room as a better crowd than plaza/richards on weekends. i'd say the red room is better on a whole, though i love the staff at plaza & richards.

tokyo lounge is fun too, though there's a new night starting that i've never been to. the space is smaller and it's kind of pricey, but it's a nice loungy space.

i like shine on saturdays too, or i used to.

I never liked leaving the club through the alley, so ghetto.

and the people arn't that great, it's a bunch of irresponsible people.

Everytime I go there I see people g-holing.
Once a girl in a bathroom stall, she managed to pass out while sitting on the toilet with her pants/panties around her ankles and then sliding off the toilet so that her feet (along with your pants/panties) were sticking out on the other side of the stall door.
and the sad part was, the 10 people that came to the club with her(and gave her the ghb), her so called friends, didn't want to leave the dance floor to see if it was infact their friend, and when they found out it was they started fighting over who had to take her home.

A different night, a guy started falling so his friends caught him and put him on one of the couches, then they started doing shots while he was knocking everything off the table.

I aslo enjoyed getting a drink spilled on me (mmm gin) then a bottle of beer (mmm corona) all in the same night.

We used to have a really successful deep house night there on Tuesdays called Blueprint that was run by Alvarro, Marcello, and Ali.

Since they decided to wrap up the Blueprint night we haven't had any sort of electronica nights.

Other than our Brit Pop night on Thursdays we're souly an RnB/HipHop club, Tanner tends to throw down a few house and electro tracks on Friday and Saturdays; but other than that we pretty much only cater to the masses on the weekends.

This Saturday is the grand opening of BELIEVE on saturday nights.

The previous weeks have been pretty good from what I've seen

I heard from a friend today that Deep Dish will be coming to the Red Room sometime in February...but couldn't find anything on it. Anyone confirm?

Deep Dish the duo are not going to be here but only Sharam is. At the Red Room on Feb 25th with Tyler J ripping it up beforehand.

Should be a great night!
