WHEN: Friday, April 8th, 2005 WHERE: Sonar in Gastown -- 19+ event -- 2 pieces of ID will be required at the door PLAYING A 2 HOUR SET OF BREAKS AND FUNK:  KID KENOBI, AUSTRAILIA - Ministry of Sound Kid Kenobi has been voted Austrailia's number one DJ multiple times, for one reason, he brings the funk in combination with some solid DJ'ing and production skillz. He does this so well, that none other than MINISTRY OF SOUND has signed him year in and year out to mix the MOS Yearly BReaks compliation. His production skills are also top notch with popular remixes like La La Land and Rock Your Body Rock being pressed on Hussle Recordings among others. Recent remixes have inclulded that of the Beastie Boys and a very popular track being cained by the Krafty one called Mylo. Twisted is proud to welcome Kid Kenobi in his first ever Vancouver appearance! Kid Kenobi has definitely stepped into the production front and made a big impact quickly. A lot of the crazy-funky beats being cained by him and close DJ-friends aren't even released and never will be. He also ends up working with people and playing tracks that end up being huge hits that have people fiending to find them. A prime example is the Red Mix of the track he first played out back in November 2003 I believe called Barcelona.

We know that there is a ton of shit going on that night around town, but considering this headliner is from Australia, I think it's safe to say that we have one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest events in town period. NO EXCUSES PEEPS!

I am so excited!! I saw him many many times at Sublime @ Home and Sounds on Sunday (Sydney) in the breaks rooms of course.
