Megablend dj comp this weds @ repubs

^ cho cha was a she - and she brought a raucous lesbian crowd.

For those that didn't stick around. At the end of the night, the made the 3 top DJs (me, Cho Cha, and Hunt) battle it out one more time with 5 minute, unrehearsed sets.

Hunt's set had Backstreet boys and Sandstorm and other tunes of that quality in it :S

Hunt can mix however, something has to be said about the music played. OMG was pretty decent! Actually Mike Lake was pretty good just a little too much electro crap. Vinnie and Soo were by far the best. Vinnie with some rly good quick cuts and Soo with an arsenal of tunes from everywhere. I was surprised to see Cho Cha in the top 3, she didnt impress me whatsoever.

I was on the dancefloor at the time, couldn't see the DJ. That was probably my #1 complaint about using this venue for this type of event... you either get to dance or watch the DJ but not both. It's like the Kool Herc Uncertainty Principle.

PS - I learned yesterday that your dj name must have a "DJ" preceeding it when written. I texted my friends the results like this "Soo took the finals, cho cha 2nd, hunt 3rd" My fucking phone blew up with congrats as people thought I was saying "So," thinking I won. Worst morning evr.

Well done both of you.. A lot of djs just played music.. Got boring a minute or 2 in.. You guys kept it fresh remixing blending it up. I saw cho cha's set.. She was a lot better then I expected.. Sure her mixing and cuts weren't 100% accurate but the fact she was party rocking the whole 15 mins was what prob got her into the top 3.

Didn't get to see the sudden death round but talk about being put on the spot.. Soo proved he doesn't need a rehearsed set like most the other djs did. Good job.
