What is so wrong with Plaza? It's clean usually. And if its not, there are janitors to clean it up. The theatre room is dope for relaxing. Only wish the BC room was a bit bigger for the breaks and jungle. Meh, I suppose if there was more demeand then maybe it would be in a bigger room. Thats my opnion.

I personally love the Plaza
You guys just have to understand that these are allnight concerts/events/whatever...They're doing nothing to hurt the rave scene as a whole....because they are not raves.....period I think it sucks that the only legal venue is Riverside (which is next to impossible to not lose a ton of money on) I like underground parties better, but so what, some people like mainstream parties more, so stop complaining and let them go to there parties and you go to yours. I'll be at both =) AGROout

Well put, I'm so with you on that one! Personally I think that Slinky looks like an alright show for those whom like house, and anything progressive. It may not be at the top of my list but i still like it. that is my own feeling towards this. now about the plaza, I like it there. awsome venue, big, secure, all the three rooms are nice. and you guys know aswell as i know that all of you spend 90% of your time in the breakz/jungle/dnb room or the house/disco room. so who really cares about what happens in the main room right! anywho that's my two cents on the matter! thank you and good morning! okay on ed they call me the "new generation plaza jailbait raver"... OBVIOUSLY i luv plaza
i hafta say its my favorite venue. personally im a high maintanence party kid and plaza fits my needs. its clean, i always have a place to put my shit so it wont get stolen, its not TOO hot there (heat was another story), the lineups are fast, its a beautiful building, central van (transit friendly)..i can go on and on. im proud to be a "raver" in vancouver because we have plaza. i dont mind spending a bit more money going to a plaza party, cuz i feel that my money is well spent and i know the venue costs A LOT of money.. but seriously they're pushing the prices higher and higher. like dave said..like the "scene" or not, i'll be going to both mainstream and underground stuff. wuteva i like!

Ok, i dont think some of you realize how much many djs cost to bring down. In many cases were talking THOUSANDS of dollars for a set. The plaza is one of the few venues where promoters can bring down the DJs that cost obscene amounts of money and have a hope selling enough tickets to pay it off.
If you dont like big partys then whatever, go to the small ones. Like Dave and TONS of other people in this scene ill be going to both
