I told everyone that I was working on it, but its impossible to "promise" anything like that. Andy C wanted to come, but because of a hectic weekend going to and from LA to TO twice in 3 days, we've decided together that it would just not work out. Unfortunately people in this city do not show enough support , although some REALLY do, to support a huge headliner.

i support huge headliner. i already have my ticket so im going regardless but i have to say im a little dissapointed, part of the reason i bought it was based on the fact that their would be a jungle headliner. if not andy c then someone else...oh well its still going to be a good day. as long as theres boooze

most of the afterhours are not at clubs, but in neat venues around the city that go all night and are very very inexpensive. the show ends at 10pm, but I know of mckcany after parties going on. Everyone both 19+ and under are going to very well accomodated.

by the way, tickets were 43$ weeks ago and 53$ to a party with this lineup is very reasonable. look at the prices of other parties in relation to their talent.

All I know is that weekend, there are two things which promise to be better.

Three day illegal rave from hell (5 Stages, Free)
Two day illegal rave from hell (2 stages, money, but really cool none the less!)

On a side note, I doubt much hype will be created on this board (I could be wrong, I've been wrong about things before), cause your no longer targeting this market. None of these kids want to pay 53 bux to see dj's they see every weekend, but this time during the DAY?!?.

It's a hip hop festival. While cool ( I wouldn't mind seeing fourth world occupants, I hear they can wail) it won't hold the same drawl on this board as previous events did.

Well, Erick Morillo is a pretty big headliner, but not really my style. I'll be going, but that's because it's nearby and a lot of my friends will be there. The line-up doesn't have me all that excited, but I'm sure it will be a good time anyways.

Why didnt you get real breaks and jungle djs instead?? I find that when a dj plays out of their genre, they dont play nearly as good tracks as someone who plays the genre..

No shit dude. If I asked you to play a trance set I'm sure it'd be as lame as asking me to play a straight up breaks set =P Yeah, they can do it and I imagine they'll do a good job, but the track selection and love of the genre will simply be absent. I spend hours each day listening to new trance/prog records, and a lot of thought goes into a set; I'm sure you're the same with breaks. It's a bit of a slap in the face to ask some other guy to dig through his crate to find something to fit the style he's asked to play when there's a much more competent person to do the job.

Anyways, feel your pain =)
