well i would go to crossfade/thunder. but last time I went it was STRUGGLING in there. It's cuz not enough fuckin ppl are educated in the superiority of Jungle.

Wednesday=Pound=1/2 dnb night
Thursday=some new night starting at 23 west=1dnb night
Friday=zwack=1 dnb night

=3 1/2 dnb nights a week.

I think that DnB is alive and well in Vancouver. However it is based off a fairly small base of people and there just isn't enough people at the moment to fill weekly nights on a weekly basis. Hopefully special events will continue to be full on a regular basis and continue to attract new people to the genre. Unfortunately weekly nights are a key building block to holding special events... Without them there is no where to promote your bigger nights. I guess it's a bit of the classic catch 22.


So what is it going to take to put DnB up there with packed weeklies on a regular basis?

as of 2 thursdays from now there will be a NEW club night at club 23 on cordova! called broken thursdays brough to you by smashed*... so yeha.. its still around!!!

Proper's done! we're re-launching at a new venue in October, but it won't be a dnb night anymore . . .
