It not rocket science, Rocky Mountian is a great company, with great gear & Knowledgable staff, problem like sound cutting out 8 times in a night wouldn't happen with this company. But they cost alot more tham masterplan.

The sound at the plaza is more complifcated than just booking a different company and/or spending more money

If it were that simple problems wouldn't happen as often

its mainly because of the new noise bylaws in effect, limiters, etc

I'm meeting with Masterplan this weekend to discuss the problems we've seen and I'm sure they'll get resolved or have a damn good explanation

Isn't Armin the 5th best dj in the world right now??

you see most GOOD business people realize that in order to get repeat buisness you have to provide a quality product, it seems as this idea has been over azims head for the last 2 years, since it seems he likes to cut corners everywhere. For example by booking shitty overplayed dj's, and shitty sound & light companies or relying on the same formulatic approach to raves, and the same really high nammers for ticket sales. With this being a common occurence its no wonder many of the older parties have started to look to clubs to provide what they need. Atleast at a club like sonar or the drink ill get a competent dj and a booming sound system.

that being said with this party and simple 6 i can see that maybe azim has realized the error of his ways, but since he lost alot of cash at simple methinks he won't be throwing parties much longer.

im sure rocky mountain would fuck up less then masterplan, as far as i know they don't have 16 year old sound techs, and their techs get paid more then ten bucks an hour so they have to know what there doing.

sean: not to start shit, but u think just becuz azim lost $$ on one party he's gonna stop? dood man alot of people have lost a alot more money than azim and havent stopped throwing parties....i think the largest i remember was d'oh 3 when scotty spent a huge sum and got like 10-20% of it back? dont quote me on that...

Adam i wouldn't say ALOT of promoter who have lost money, havn't stop. B/c thats nots true, look @ g-house.... Think back with me adam.... back too early 2000 when there was atleast a dozen if not more promoters out there. They lost $ and they saw the scence was..... i guess dying. The promoters who have lost a fare amount of money in parties have seem to go toward smaller events..... Ie D'oh & exert......

i "think" that was a losing party kuz there weren't too many people there compared to the exert one at pne.

actually hell i think they both had net loss

but the point is.. the sore loser came back up.
