Tony and Huda would rock it way harder (imo). Really though I think Vancouver would be much happier with one good UK breaks DJ, ie krafty Kutz, Skool of Thought, Stanton Warriors, Freestylers... I'd suggest talking to Groovy, he's working on bringing a few of those acts I mentioned.

if it was between baby anne and faline vs huda, i'd pick t faline vs. huda, but personally I'd be lookin at booking someone else.
what about simply jeff, or chris carter, BLIM, Koma & Bones, Omar Santana, Aquasky Vs. Masterblaster or any of Nolan's picks. A simple search on soulseek should bring up tracks/cd's/livesets by any of these artists.

tru nuff, looks like you guys will be spending some big coin bringing in a breaks headlinner, so you should deffinitly make sure that you get someone who is worth the price your paying. i suggest stanton warriors, or lee combs.

Listen to what Nolan said. Look at bringing in fresh talent to the city instead of what was big a couple of years ago. Seriously, last time I saw Faline, he was playing tracks that most breaks djs in vancouver already had. Not impressed!

yeah both sides of the stereo 8 record are sick. groove diggin/get above yourself. but seeing as they are unknown, they won't get the ticket sales needed to cover their ass with bringing them down.

Personally I really enjoyed the Lee Coombs show and I think LIME will be bringing him out again. I think with all the breaks shows going on the city these days there is starting to be more of an educated crowd that knows for instance who Lee Coombs is. Also his headling slot at Shambahla couldn't have hurt.

I agree with everyone else though... we're all sick of florida breaks etc... its been played out here. I'd say bring in some UK talent too.... Stanton Warriors would be off the hook.

I think that someone like Dave tipper who plays a very different sort of breaks would rock it only because hes an aamzing turntablist and Bass is what hes focused to bring. But then he was just here.
Si BEgg would be sickity sick.
But if your planning on bringing funky breaks to town note that its a differnt Funk vancouver is feeling right now.

Nobody really wants to hear Tony's dubs b/c we all know what style of breaks he plays. Baby Anne has jumped the uk bandwagon on the other hand and may drop some good shit(and shes hot)

But the Breaks that people want now are differnt then 1 year ago. Czech rocked a big beat set and people went nuts. I know precise is changed his style just by reading his posts. The florida sound will definatley bring people out but will it keep them satisfied? no.

ShyBros have lotsa money coming in which means they should spend it wisely.
