im going to this party, im going to get so fuckin tabbed, I will be there till the last track is dropped, I very much look forward to danceing excesively hard, and yelling with extreme intensity at all the phatt techno and people i encounter. I want to wonder around for god knows how long looking for friends stopping only to dance to a wicked track that catches my ear. I want to have a fuckin Etarded conversation in the bathroom with people that ill never see again. I will be the guy with the big fat grin on his face frount row mainroom morning wishing 8am was still 4 hours away. This is what a party is to me and why i keep going back.

Busting out A-Trak, Abstract Rude, and even The Herbaliser, and dumping ‘em straight into the mix with Decoder, Dylan & Loxy, and High Contrast – the first thing that comes to mind is, “How on earth is he going to pull this off?” But one awe-inspiring listen is all it takes to convince even the skeptics that Mat the Alien is on to some next level shit. UK bred Mat the Alien started playing records on his brother’s 1200’s at the age of 15 . His unique and innovative style was developed working at his family’s record shop in Bury near Manchester opened by his dad at 4 years of age . Surrounded by a fresh selection of new and old vinyl, Mat’s style was fed by an eclectic blend of beats . Mat further developed his skills by playing many top clubs , one-off events, doing guest appearances on IBC pirate radio run by Jimbo -- perfect combination, and sunset 102 with the mix factory djs . A move to Whistler, B.C., Canada in 1995 found him inspired by his surroundings but lacking a nearby record store, so Mat concentrated on honing his DJ skills and making mix tapes . Mat was quickly welcomed by the local hip hop scene and established residencies in Whistler and Vancouver. A 4 turntable night with Vancouver hip hop pioneer Kilocee and MC Incredible Ease named spare grooves is into it’s 6th season and is packed every week. Mat also hosted Context in Whistler, showcasing live underground hip-hop crews from all over Canada and the US. Notorious for his seamless cuts, effortless scratching and distinctive selection, Mat has played with the likes of Afrikaa Bambaata, Del – The Herbaliser, Roots Manuva, The Allies-DJ Vraze - a track-klever-jmoke-spitakular, The Rascalz, , Bad Company, Rahzel, Q-Bert and many others. As producer, Mat has created solid beats and is sought after for his work on soundtracks for snowboard, sk8, snowmoblile, mtn bike and ski videos and plans to release his material and a full length with MC's TYC and Subliminal JC called MK Ultra this year. Mat recently toured all over North America, England, Austria, Sweden, Germany and Iceland and also mixed the March Knowledge Magazine CD 2002 which showcased his ability to blend several styles of music into a potent concoction. 60 thousand units of the CD were distribution worldwide.
