The venue is exactally 104 KMs from Victoria, eastward towards Port Renfrew. It will take around 1 hour 30 minutes from Victoria, and just under 2 hours from nanaimo. Coming from Vancouver you should travel via either Swartz Bay (1.75 hours) or Departure Bay (2 hours).

Horribly disorganized and tons or misinformation... there was no "19+ area" no "chill zones" not to mention the confusion about paying for camping and not paying (website said it was $5... the promoter said it was free when we asked him and that parking was $5... then in the middle of the night people came round to collect the camping fees which we thankfully had enough money leftover to pay). By far the worst part was the production. There were three stages which was cool and all except the lights for all those stages combined totalled five... yes count them... five. One blacklight for one stage and four small what looked to be pinspots (lights with about a four inch diameter) on the "main stage". One of the stages had a massive puddle in front of it which I'm sure only got worse as the night went on... it's not THAT hard to move a stage. We only stayed for a couple hours since everyone we knew was leaving and it was chuckin it down with rain. Now don't get me wrong... I've extremely glad we got rain and it's not like I haven't had a blast at parties where it's rained before (Liquified 2... prolly one of my favs) but it just added to the ickyness of the party. The infoline was horrendous... all it said was "go to Port Renfrew then check the website for directions" now how the hell are people supposed to check the website out in the middle of Port Renfrew where there are no web cafes and cell phones don't even work half the time? Thankfully people at a local general store knew where the party was and redirected us as there were no signs even pointing us in the correct direction.
Since we were only there for a few hours on Saturday I guess my opinion is a lil biased... but unless there were somehow 20 or so more lights on Friday that magically disappeared on Saturday only to reappear after we left and some of the people organizing the event suddenly got a clue I highly doubt it got any better. I know I'm not the only person grumpy about this party... people camping next to us had about the same things to say... as did the vast majority of people we talked to. Hopefully this was just an accident and some things went terribly wrong... I know first hand throwing a party can be hard and tons of things can go wrong (we had several ourselves when throwing Shattered) but shit we had better production at a party we threw together in literally a day. All I'm saying is I was VERY disappointed that more effort wasn't put into this production since I was really looking forward to it.
