What's wrong with Vancouver? People are constantly bitching that there aren't enough headliners at parties, that no new talent is being brought to the city, or that it's always the same names. Now, we had a party with a HUGE lineup; great performers for hip hop, breaks, dnb, hardhouse, trance. And no one wants to go?
What's up with that? And this of course isn't the only case. Time and time again, parties and clubs will bring in someone who should attract a sold out show, and the place will be empty. Don't people care about music anymore? I really don't get it. I mean, you got, Beatnuts, Jeru and a Playboy model... Who do the promoters have to bring to put on a show? -For those who were planning on goin for the Beatnuts, don't forget they'll be at Purple Onion on tuesday with Brassmunk. remorse aside, does this reflect a new trend in the massives? will summerlove and imf follow suit, unable to provide sufficient sales? or will the promoters see this as a warning, and more aggresively advertise? also, will the members of our community learn from this the value of supporting those that provide quality events? or is everyone so brain-dead that they can't see this show was well worth the money.

God damnit!!!!!!!!! I was just out buying a ticket and i get home to hear this...... C'est la vie. It's too bad this had to happen. I guess i can't really talk much, considering i just bought my ticket today. Hopefully a party happens that will at least except my ticket. Props to Dave and everyone esle for doing their best.

If this show was put on by a production company like Twisted, Exert or Shy Brothers. The people would show no support & call them CROOKS! Especially since they PRETTY MUCH anounced that 300 people WILL NOT GET THERE $$$ BACK because La Costra Nostra had this BIG GIANT STUPID IDEA! As Profesional Promoters trying to put on Massives, you guys should of been able to predict a situation like this ESPECIALLY since we all know the RAVE scene is in decline. The real PRODUCERS of this show should step FORWARD and say SORRY for taking 300 peoples $40, instead of hiding behind Dave making him deal with the public when it had nothing to do with him (and we all know that)! I think that evreyone should see that the PROMOTERS are stupid & should have not relied on ticket sales! It was a stupid Idea, & I think because of this show being cancelled alot of people wont support shows any more, so Ravers get ready to go back to the little grimey wearhouse, or mainstream promoters get ready to loose a NASTY AMOUNT OF MONEY! YOU GUYS REALLY FUCKED UP! PS Dave your a honest promoter & your great at it, BUT stick to your small awsome partys & stop letting these guys use you as a FACE for their stupid ideas!

25 000 flyers.....about 300 left 5000 pre flyers 2000 posters 2 Massive mobile 5 feet x 3 feet posters Write ups in Gerogia Straight Write ups in Ion Mag Write ups in the Province/Sun Newspapers Write ups on EC on Much Music 3+ clubs hit with flyers everynight from Vancouver to Maple ridge to Abbotsford, Richmond etc etc Every store and telephone pole in the city and on top of many flyer people we had a guy who worked 8 hours a day on the payroll flyering robson metrotown, victoria etc etc We were expecting over 100+ peeps from Seattle to come down guaranteed, the average amount for a regular plaza party is about 4 or 5 people. It seems that the seattle support for this line up was much greater and if this show was thrown there it would've got about 4000+ people AGROout

I am not a troll, Ive been visiting this site for 2 months now & never made a account. I couldnt help but pipe up and say something about all the positive support they got. I know people that are promoters & they would get shit on if this happend , but Daves the good guy of the scene so the real promoters of the show hide behind him expecting LESS shit!
I hope alot of people agree with me, & stand up & say it!
