i do admit that it's a fuckin insane lineup... but i'm not at all surprised that spectrum brought em all out at once.. PROPS
i've been on there mailing list for awhile now..... everyone should be if you're at all interested in hip hop..... i just wish i wasn't such a hermit and actually went to half of the ones i wanted to check out

I would soooo be at this, but from from what I hear the closest place they are coming to is some club in Seattle on a Tuesday. Or maybe I'm just on crack. If it's at Sonar I will fall over, and hopefully be able to get back up on time to attend.

for the last few years EVERY big hip hop act that has come through town and gone to a club has been a SPECTRUM or G-MAN + RIZK event. SPECTRUM even has brought some really rad jungle headliners as well. do a board search for spectrum and the shit he's promoted. check any flyers you have, and you'll probably see his name on it. The guy who runs Spectrum is Sean, big guy in dreads who's out at many major events showing his support. this is one of the dude's one of a small few keep vancouver's urban nightlife afloat. arrgh so frustrating.

or the fake ones Cause if its just some Vancouver locals with the same name as the legends themselves count me out!!! hahaha sorry there were just so many silly comments about the authentcity of this line up that I figured I should say something just as weird! It would be crazy for anyone not to sign up to his spam list. If cooked right Spam can be quality people!! err.....well sort of. All in all I'm sure if you got annoyed with him spamming you quality events, all you would have to do is email him and I'm sure he'd take you off his list! I'll see everyone there! Let me break it on down for those that dont know... Qbert: most people know who this guy is...basically with out him, the scratch world would be about ten years behind. Invented and helped develop some of the best scratches around today. Bigger then life...won numerous titles including dmc champion of the world a few times. x men:fuck man....if any of you have seen scratch the movie, you'll have scene roc raida's body tricks seen. thats on some alien from planet zenon shit. the whole crew is sick, and they go off on something like 8 tables at once. z trip: k...i saw this guy in seattle for usc. best dj set ive ever seen, period. fuck oakenfold, fuck avb, fuck every trance dj you've ever seen in your life, this guy is the real shit. the stuff he mixes together live will give you a heart attack, period. jazzy jay: this guy is a LEGEND...straight up. Having DJ'd for afrika bambaataa and the zulu nation, this guy definitely has the skills. they showed a clip of his record collection in scratch, something like 100 000 records? guys a lunatic....he should stick his record collection behind him while hes playing.... :hehe: for real though, ive heard hes as good as ztrip...which ...is ....going....to...be...AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! !!!! I'll add thta anyone who caters at all to the local hip hop scene is already on the mailing list.
Spectrum always comes through with the goods. Having said that this lineup kicks so much ass ill be skeptical untill the last headliner plays regardless......then ill go home with probably the biggest smile on my face ever :D B//F
