Hey Jaclyn! Yeah, Sean (the Yak) very graciously offered up half his set to me, so I could spin. I have literally not played a party since December, and that was back home, so I'm gonna have fun, regardless. Sean's a helluva guy so you all better come early and cheer him on. BTW, I've never produced a child, let alone 3 children w/ my mixer. I just really like it and I get into the music via thumping my foot, wigglin' my hips, and occassionally shaking my male ass a la Tiesto. :P
Anyway, thanks for the support, Jac, I think you and your b/f are the only one's who I've remembered to tell that I'd be at this party. I totally spaced. You'd better chill w/ me after my half-set, or I'm gonna be sad. Regardless, we were told we were starting at 10pm, but it may end up being earlier, like as soon as we get in, so we have time to mess around, and break the decks in. This is Yak's first time out of the bedroom so the mixer may throw him a bit. For the set we've been brainstorming, I initially suggested more laid back prog beats to start off, then some uplifting tunes towards the end of it all, but from what I'm reading here, I may go more on the hard tip, then epic. Does that sound good to you guys? Hey Attlia or Photonic, is it alright if I bring a pair shure whitelabel needles? (some promoters have a problem w/ DJs messing w/ the decks, so I thought I'd better ask).
It just occurred to me that I've never bothered posting before on FnK. I think its cuz there's too much funny/sketchy shit to read...hah.
