well there will probably be some trancecore/freeform there too, I'm guessing. why not just go anyways, and see if you actually like it? hearing happycore on your stereo at home, and hearing it on the dancefloor are two VERY different things.

Its great that you're tryin somethin new and different
Definatly something that the scene needs But you have to understand that The Vancouver Scene is NOT ready for it yet. You need to start off slow, maybe 1 or 2 HHC DJ's and a couple other genres that people know they like Alot of people I know would be interested in checking out what HHC is about but are not sure if they'll like it, and an all HHC party is not something they might want to risk Its a good idea if you're not spending too much money on DJ's but if you're gonna fly em in, it might get a lil pricy! But even 100 people would be great fun Maybe I'll see ya there peace AGROout

vancouver has never been able to support a HHC scene in all of its years.
lack of exposure or low tolerance for bullshit? either way, the ravers have spoken. if you want to have a genre gain new popularity, i'd suggest not doing it by making yourself completely poor by bringing in some hhc headliners. r.

I dont have anything against HHC, I dont mind hearing it sometimes, personally I wouldn't be able to stand a whole night of it.
Perhaps try looking at www.crystalmethheads-vancouver.com you may find attendees to an event with that much energy there. If you're looking to build a HHC scene I would recommend mixing it up with some other high-energy genres like NRG, Jungle and Hardcore.

This is the only time I'm going to say this
I'm not trying to build a hhc scene. All these dj's have either A: expressed an intrest to me B: To someone else THey have all offered to play for practially nothing. Jesus, double d said she would come for the price of a bus ticket and sleep on someone's couch.

yea i think u should have at least 1 alternative to HHC at the party... i mean, i have friends that are HHC MANIACS, but even they wouldn't be able to listen to that crap all nite long... unless you offer free prozac & jib at the door...

hmm... chris... I think it WOULD be a good idea though, to have some slower music there for people. have some trance or honger...er... hard house at the beginning of the night or something, just to attract people who aren't too too crazy for faster music.

i don't know dick all about throwing a party... but all i know is that i think hhc kicks fucking ass and i wish it would be played more at parties... i think everyone's lookin for something a little different... just don't put a lot of money into it... estimate that it'll be a low count of people and just play it for the fun of it and if it becomes a smashing success then make it into something bigger later on... i just wouldn't count on much but you would have the support of me and my buddies who are always itchin for somethin new
