everyone knows where to get their "fuel".
we might even be selling liquor there... so who ever wants to make some money should stock up with liquor, and sell it at double or something like that at the rave...10% of the profit to us.
and if there are any good promoters, and organizers that would be awesome if they could help... i am a total rookie... but i am dedicated to giving alot of people a great time... Always wanted to throw a party that will be talked about... and possibly depends on its success, repeated...
and we want to keep it free or as cheap as possible... its a none profit party... just to cover the expenses...


who ever wants to say that this isn't going to work... go post somewhere else... this kind of an attitude will make it all the harder for us...

thats a great idea throw the party i love house and trance but not really a fan for outdoor raves went to one beofre it sucked but i havent been to a big one outdoors so wouldnt really no

Ok first and foremost you need to take some other items into consideration before throwing any type of event.
1) Event Insurance - GEt it. If you don't you are opening yourself up for big trouble. If for some reason someone gets hurt or god forbid OD's you will be held liable. If you are under 18 your parents are held liable.
2) Security - Your should choose a bondable security company to do crowd control. Being that all bondable security firms have insurance to cover them this can help you in the event someone gets hurt by security or any of the many other possible accusations.
3) Paramedics - This is a must especially if you are going out in the woods somewhere. If you do not have trained and qualified medics on site you insurance costs will go through the roof.
4) Legal permits - Without them you will be shut down for sure outside right now. With a heightend alert for forest fires right now they are watching everywhere very closely.
5) Electrical Generators. Depending on the type of set-up you are planning you can look to spend anywhere in the neighborhood of $2 - 5K for power depending on your needs.
6) Port a loo's - Yes you do need portable washrooms. This you will have to get a quote on as it varies.
7) Technical Equipment - Nobody has the type of PA gear you will need sitting in their house. I can help you arrange a great deal on this stuff but nothing is free.
8) The further you travel outside of the city the more these cost incur.
I know it seems like I'm shitting all over your idea but I just want to make sure you protect your own ass or you could be paying people for the rest of you life.

this is not going to be an official party... its going to be just a party... paramedics and security on the other hand is a good idea....

i will have some very large friends controling the situation they are responsible... and will have authority...
and there is going to be very many of them.... basically all my good friends will be kind of a security.. my eyes and ears... paramedics on the other hand is a perfect idea... and its not going to be in the forest its going to be in a large open field...... i might even go lawn mowing before it happens to make it nice and comfy for you all.

actually a lot of people think that the cause of the rave "seen" going bad is the birth of so many unprofessional wack-ass "production" companies throwing shitty parties that fall apart days before the show, or get busted because they thought that their venue was a good idea despite being so obviously open to noise complaints/heat, or the fact that there are 1-2 "raves" EVERY FRIGGIN WEEK, or that too many people get in to throwing parties because they think that it'll get them respect/money/sexual partners and make them feel loved...the upshot of all of this is that people get burned over and over, so they're less likely to spend money, so when someone tries to throw something big the support isn't there like it used to be and it doesn't happen

if this egor guy wants to throw a party that's cool, but if you can't figure out how to throw a party or don't have the resources without going on a public board and asking other people to basically throw it for you then maybe you should ask yourself if you really should be doing this. it's one thing to ask for djs, but if you're asking for a venue, sound, lights, djs, and other people to organize your party all on a volunteer basis.....just scrape together $1500 and throw the damn party...

and he opened himself up to ridicule with the "dealers wear yellow toques" thing.....i mean COME ON!!!!
