New to Vancouver

Another noob here...

I'll be heading over to North America next year and I'll be spending quite a while in Vancouver. I like drum and bass/breaks, psytrance, techno/house. If anyone could give me some advice on Vancouver's rave/doof/club scene it would be muchly appreciated!

Also, if you can recommend any nice places (not just clubs etc.) to visit around Canada it would also be great.

Thanks Alla :151: I'm from Perth, Western Australia. I'll be in Vancouver for a working holiday from about March/April onwards. I've only heard great things about Vancouver and it looks beautiful (as does the rest of Canada). Looking forward to it!

Outdoor parties held in the bush, mate! heh.. usually play psytrance. We have a few of them in Western Australia, but theres quite a big doof scene in New South Wales/Victoria. They're the type of parties you come out of with sand/dust all over you, but its all part of the fun. I suspect with all your beautiful outdoor scenary you would have a lot of outdoor parties in the summer months? or does it still get too cold?

Yeh so i'm not over there till next year in march/april, but i thought I'd get as much advice/help possible before i go. Not exactly sure where abouts i'm staying yet, i've got lots to sort out. Any of you people snow board ? I've gota try that out while I'm over there, looks like a lot of fun :)

I think they spend most of their time in the UK these days... but they are originally from Perth. Perth has quite a big following for drum and bass, so if you ever come to australia you might like to stop off in perth and see whats going on.

we can snowboard in the morning, chill on the beach in the afternoon, eat supper in a downtown park over-looking the ocean, hit the dance club at 10, after-hours at 2 and won't quit dancing till dawn
