A scene newbie's question

I noticed quite a few events taking place in clubs around vancouver. I was wondering if/where I would find out information about larger, warehouse style events.

As new to the whole scene, I wasn't sure how to find such events.

the mitchell island parties were cool! running around looking for check points calling info lines and such.

it all seemed so renegade...going to parties in dogy run down little warehouses...

it was fun.

...cumberland hall was just fucking gross.

Lol...One time I was heading to a party on Mitchell Island. You weren't supposed to drive your car, but we followed the shuttle bus anyways...

We were driving around trying to find the damn place and all of the sudden these two small figures that looked like they could be children jumped out of nowhere right in front of my car...I swear as I got closer, they had the faces of scary old people!

It was totally creepy, and no I was not high!

Last time I ever went to Mitchell Island...

you're not talking about the one Silverwaters was throwing parties in, are you? (Kick It Back, Samurai of the Jungle, etc).. That venue is/was? THE BEST.

i was at a warehouse party of about 100-200 people two weeks ago, i dunno what you guys are talking about.

and then there was that agroculture one three weeks before that.... mostly fnkers there, and there wasn't really much for visuals (was basically a big empty warehouse and a stereo system), but there was about 200-300 people at that one (maybe more? feel free to correct me, dave).

i haven't heard about a 500+ person warehouse party in van since gong show two years ago though.

most of the warehouse parties that i find out about in van are specific crews and their associated party people, and rarely are they advertised on fnk.

sorry, but that venue sucked as far as warehouse parties go.

ridiculous lineups for the bathroom.... no ventilation whatsoever so they had to crack the bay doors open at least twice throughout the night to air it out, never enough places to sit down....

there are much cooler warehouse venues in this city.
