Hello from Sunny Bucharest!

Ok well it's moreso cloudy and snowing than sunny, but both are still good!

I went to see Ferry Corsten last night, haha. I probably would never have gone to see Tiesto Van Corstenfold at home but I wanted to see what a Super-Ultra-OMG-DJ Mag top 10 DJ would be like in Eastern Europe and it was only half a million Ron or Rol or whatever the money is here so it was a steal!

The show was totally worth it. I don't know the first thing about trance, but shit, the production was outstanding. There were massive lasers, fireworks inside the club, explosions, streamers falling on the crowd, hired dancers and a girl in a golden bikini (hells yes Star Wars fans) suspended from the ceiling.

I'd suggest anyone to go to one of these shows if they get a chance, no matter how big a music snob they are. Everyone loves explosions!

I guess this post also doubles as an "I'm somewhere and you're not" post, but most people think I'm an idiot for going to Eastern Europe in the Winter, to each there own.

It would have been nice to go to the Black Sea coast but I don't have the time. Though, from what I've heard, it's phenomenal in the summer although a bit pricey cause it's a major tourist destination now.

Oh yeah Leus... I've gone from Canadian dollars to US dollars to Australian dollars to Malaysian Ringits to Turkish Liras to Bulgarian Levs to Romanian Leus to Serbian Dinars to Hungarian Forints. This shit gets confusing.

Oh yeah and don't ever leave a Eastern European nation still carrying cash in their currency. I've gone through 3 countries now that wont exchange about $75 Canadian worth of Bulgarian Levs. If this keeps up I'll have a very expensive Bulgarian notepad to take home.

Damn! That's crazy! I've heard some neat stuff about Eastern Europe lately.

They also said I was crazy for moving to Toronto in the Winter, but we've had better weather than Vancouver for the most part. ;)

Actually the weather wasn't bad at all. A little bit of biting cold in the wind, but for the most part when it was snowing it felt about as cold as it is here. Vancouver has a tendency of feeling cold when it isn't.
