Going to Hawaii!!!

Ok I'm leaving on Sunday for Oahu. Staying near Waikiki beach. (which may still be full of poo unfortunatly.)
But I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on things to do while I'm there. Other then the obvious, snorkeling, tanning, surfing.

sea life park! you can probably catch a bus from your hotel straight to the aquarium, what hotel are you staying in?
The bus ride is only like 15/20 minutes, usually the Outrigger hotels have busses leaving every few hours.

The zoo!
The really cool night market thats by the beach (i forget where it is exactly, its been a long time)
EAT AT CHILI'S!!!!

near the beach, or naer waikiki?

Aer you just further back near the canal? I used to live in the Royal Kuhio condo near the canal...or if you're in the outskirts are you like in Kahala or something like that?

Ala Moana + Pearl Ridge = awesome shopping lololo.

ps: SEALIFE PARK FOR THE FRICKING WIN

I think the international marketplace is still there (miska just went and had pictures of it). I'm about a block away staying at the Pacific Monarch. So I'm about 2 blocks from the beach.

we leave for oahu on the 30th... staying half block from waikiki beach, although probably would have preferred to stay on the north shore.

does anyone know if you can go up diamond head for sunrise?

I was booked to go to Waikiki at the end of this month too until this happened:
Closing of Waikiki beaches

I don't know what the progress of the pipe repair is or the clean up of the sewage is...

Suggestions? Shopping, eating, luaus, "Cheeseburgers in Paradise", etc.

Here's a link for Kualoa Ranch: Kualoa Ranch. There are more fun land activities that water ones.

Enjoy!

Seems like most of the closers have been removed now. The only place thats still looking bad is the Ala wai harbor and the canal area ( don't stay at the Hilton hotel ).

Either way there are tons of other beaches to go to.

Kualoa Ranch looks awsome!

i read up on it and apparently theres still a poo factor on most beaches, i would be more concerned about the sharks being drawn in from the sewage then i would about the ecoli and other bacteria in the sand.
