the feeling of back home?

have you ever spent a long time on the road?

but not REALLY a a long time but like.....a few months like 2 or 3 yeah?

but what if during those 2 or 3 months your reaaaaly get out there and full on into a completely new mindset and way of life. A complete re-programming of what you thought was..LIFE. a full on upgrade of outlooks, ideas and attidudes.

a razor sharp sense of the human existance fully awakened and third eye opening on overdrive.

....now why is it so damn hard and difficult to come back home i wonder?

how do you...."come back home"?.

take your new mindset and apply it to your everyday life. You've grown from new experiences, but there's still adventure here.

frogprincess is a jewel in the roughfrogprincess is a jewel in the roughfrogprincess is a jewel in the rough
last summer (mid june to early september) i was living in tokyo and by the time it was time for me to come home i was more than ready!

while i was there i was not completly re-programed but my outlooks, ideas and attitdude were up-graded :0)

the one thing i remember was ENGLISH overload the first couple days i got back. i went to wendy's for a hambuger the same day i came back to vancouver and not only could i hear the staff behind the counter was saying, i could hear what the staff in the kitchen was saying and what the people in the dinning room were saying. too many conversations, i thought that i was going mad.

anyway, welcome home.

when i came home i was ready as well, but still found myself awake each night for a week or so(not due to jetlag, i was lucky) thinking about the 2 mikes. there was asia mike, wild and open minded and free to do anything, any time and without a possible threat or care in my mind. then there was vancouver mike, calm and sensible and thinking with foresight.
i combined them into the perfect mike. a little from column a, a little from b. i found that life for me here was a lot easier and solid.

hopefully that made sense dude. start planning your next trip, it will keep you focused on your next trip.

I love coming home after being away for a long time, it gives you piece of mind, but I remmeber in high school when you went on vacation and then came back... you certainly had missed a lot in the highschool bubble... this person broke up with that person, that person got drunk... etc

Vancouver is always a comforting site to see when coming home though
