Montreal Graffiti















The city has a bunch of full murals. Practically every alley is plastered with them. I assume most of the murals are sanctioned by the city, which is why most of them have cultural themes.

My fave was the goretex horned guy. He was hidden in a really slim alley and as you walk by it, he pops out and scares the shit out of you.

I got some pictures when I went back home to mtl that I took. The area between st denis and st laurent along st catherines street is just loaded with some amazing shit. Especially where the old "Music Plus" aka Much Music building is. I'd assume that the big KOPS roller east of the berri uquam metro station along st catherine street is still there to. Has been for years.

manousos is an unknown quantity at this point
Mtl's stance on graffiti is pretty progressive for N. American standards. The entire district around Foufs, Metropolis and Le Sat have tons of eye-candy

Privately and city commissioned work is everywhere, makes for a good reduction of stupid half-ass tags

lol the amount of shops that sell ink/paints/caps in mtl is ubelievable. There's at least a dozen to a dozen and a half shops that I know of that have it. I can remember seeing the old Montana Spanish can's always being displayed..

hmmm...not bad, but the goretex was for a hiphop album, not by a writer...he rhymes w necro and such...good amount of murals, none were sanctioned by the city btw...all were legal that you posted though...i'm living in mtl right now although im from ontario, i've been bombing a bit...i'll post some later today...
