Art Shows..

The Awesome....random....back alley entrance ones.....The strange shoes...interesting folk...spontanious breakdance battles when you walk in....always atleast one lady or fellow with dreads that take up more space then Tina Turner.....and you stand under them...outside...if its raining...(and usually they cant tell)..
I've been to a few in my time, but I always wonder how people find out about these....if you dont happen to know the artist...or someone in the band who's playing? I've seen flyers...on occassion...but not often..
I was just wondering if there is a website...particularly for Street Art...and shows and such, for art like that..

had a show at Midtown a while ago....

I just always wondered....aside from flyers....or knowing the beings..participating....how does one find out about these shows...
And if your one of those..people who just "always know"..
I am asking permission to grab on to your vine and swing..

now realy a d/l show..

This is my grad show. Emily Carr grad show to be exact.. my work is in the design area, turn right at the entrance and you will see my wine display in the hall. "VQA Favorite Wines" ch-ch-check it out. The show is for ALL grads in the building so there is a mix of work..from paintings, drawing, sculpture, media, animation, industrial design and communication design...just everything.

Show officially opens on saturday til may 22. Show some loveeeee

If you want to find out about shows try researching the artists in the area and get on their individual mailing lists. That way you will get linked to upcoming shows they are doing.

I've come across some great shows via facebook oddly enough. There's so much happening in the city right now for art(!!)
