The VPD gets a taste of their own medicine
The Vancouver Police have been using graffiti inspired stencils in a fear-mongering campaing against car theft. Given the aggresive graffiti paint out program run by the City and the VPD it seemed like a bit of a contradiction to use "crime" to fight crime. The only thing left was to follow their outstanding example.

I saw this earlier in the day.. pure hilarity...
Anyways did you hear that city hall (van city) is getting rid of there "vandal squad" (buff squad) because they want to spend that money towards the new gang suppression task force given all the recent shootings and shit. |

How exactly do you guys know that the vancouver police didn't have permission from the parkage/building owner to put up that graffiti/warning/whatever... ?
Don't you think there would have been a bit of media attention if some people complained that the cops went around and illegally spray painted some buildings that belonged to private businesses and not the government? Trust me, i hate cops as much as the next guy. However, I also hate idiot punk kids who spraypaint buildings run by hardworking honest people who end up having to come out of their pocket to pay for something these idiot kids did. There is a time/place for everything. Graffiti doesn't have to be done on buildings without permission. You don't like it? Get a fucking job, save money and by your own property to graffiti on. Either that or spraypaint your own fucking bedroom wall.. Oh wait... I guess if you only spray painted in your bedroom and you didn't use a magic marker to write "SOCK" on a stop-sign, you wouldn't get "street cred" carry on. |

If you happen to walk by a freshly graffitied wall, I doubt those fumes can be good for you! |

[quote=lildonkey;1955115]I don't know about you guys, but personally I think the graffiti is a bigger problem then the recent gang shootings...

Hmm...I painted for almost 10 years WITHOUT a respirator (most the time). Nothing wrong with me, infact Im in great shape. I might consider what you are saying to be true if you were inside an unventilated room. Yes fumes can be toxic, and fuck with your organs. But you cant honestly sit there are say fumes OUTSIDE are more toxic that gunshots. Thats absurd. btw 50 cent is an execption...how many more people die from just 1 bullet? |
