I heard Paul Okenfold uses earbuds from an IPOD nano to mix his best mixes because he is the best DJ in the world. Teisto told me that the earbuds from an IPOD video are way better for bass.

So many options=(

the only DJ ive really seen use earbuds was laidback luke.....and those must have been some crazy quality

i'm looking for headphones too....and i'm leaning toward the Pioneers....but everytime i've used them they dont feel like they isolate the sound too well....i used someone's headphones a long time ago and i forget what kind they were but the isolation was sick.....all i could hear was the track perfectly in the headphones...and NO outside sound at all....when people talked to me i could only see their lips move.....anyone know any headphones like this? i think they were stanton 2000s but i really dont remember

700's are built poorly. I agree with Akeel because mine are in pieces right now.
I just ordered 900s because they're built better.

My gurl just bought me a pair of the Denon DN-HP1000 and I love them. They sound great, there's no sound bleeding when you have then on and they feel solid. Denon for the win!

phobos has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I have sennheiser hd 575's, hd 555's and TEchnics RP-DJ1200S by pano. Technics are by far, and i mean by far, the best sounding headphones, but they get uncomfortable on extented listenings.... so its up to you. Sennheisers are both good, but nothing fantastic. If you really care about headphones, put out a few hundred.

Oh, not to mention the Technics have an all metal frame and are way more durable, way better bass response and frequency....

Could have been Sony MDR-V900... best Sony cans for DJing/Producing: High output and very (I stress, VERY) comfortable. The most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, but if you're into style, they might not float your boat because they're huge and black. If you want to look good, and still want the performance/comfort, I would go for either of the Technics headphones, with the older ones that pivot being the most comfortable and stylish (and they isolate sound surprisingly well for their size)

If you want to use earbuds, go these:

It's pretty much what djs who use the buds (like oaky or LTJ Bukem) use.

$500 mind you...

well, the lowed-end ones probably sound amazing, but if you want something that will stand up to the rigours of nightclub use and be able to isolate against high-powered monitors, the top-of-the-line would be the way to go...

Saw a pair of the E3s for sale at L&M for like $145 or something...
