Headphones!?

Looking for a good set of Dj headphones? Any suggestions? Where should I buy from? ...any websites that sell for cheaper than tom lee?

go to tom lee on grandville.... They have a bunch of headphones for you to try before you make your purchase....

I personally have the akg k81 which is powered by 2000mW and has a peak of 115db and they are the best headphones in my opinion for under $100.00 ..... Do yourself a favor and stay away from the sony v500's I dunno about the v700's but the v500's have flimsy plastic that easily breaks.

^I'm willing to pay more than 100 if I'm getting good quality. no more than 200 though. someone told me to check out the sony v700s, but i'm not a huge fan of sony.

lol i dont understand the hate on sony headphones, everyone says they are so fragile and break so often.

i've had my 500's and 700's for over 3 yrs, and both are still fine.

oh yeah, jen you have a pretty small head, so you might wanna go to a place like tom lee or l&m and try on a few pairs of different brands...fit is really important.

the 3 I mentioned are the most common and used among world's top DJs but it's a personal preference whatever you think is garbage

I've heard alot of good things about the Technics headphones. I advise to stay away from the Sony.

It took me over 3 months to find good headphones, after a lot of research and testing them ALL out. ive come to the conclusion that the ones i bought, Denon DN-HP1000, are the best headphones in the 200-250 price range. they are just a few dollars more then the Sony MDR-V700, but they have WAAAAY better sound quality, they are sturdiur by a very very long shot, and extremely comfortable. they dont feel flimsy, when u hold them, you know your holding quality product. you can check mine out if you like.

I bought the Pioneer HDJ 1000s got a bit of a better deal on ebay than what they were selling for at tom lee. they look pretty :)

^I paid 150 us including shipping which is still cheaper than tom lee ($214 + tax) ...I suppose i probably could have gotten a better deal if I would have searched ebay a bit more, but meh I'm still saving quite a bit.

and what did you do? survey every top dj in the world?

sony v700's have a design flaw that causes stress to the casing right above the ear cup...thats why so many pairs crack in the exact same spot.

i have years of experience with the dj'ing industry, sponsorship from a major manufacturer, etc.

i think your garbage.
