Cubase help - importing wavs clicking to grid?

So Im using sx3 now, and I noticed it clicks all wavs to your grid. very handy when using loops, but when you want to add some atmospherics etc it snaps em super small and makes them like 1/10th the size.

what option do you change to make your wavs import in and not click (time stretch) to the grid?? Ive looked and haven't figured it out.

thanks.

try turning your snap to grid off before importing... thats kinda weird that it would do that...

also you can change your selection tool ...try right clicking on it..change the setting from apply time stretch to whatever you want.

you mean right click on the wav and change the setting?

i don't see anything about "apply time stretch " or anything like that when you right click on the wav?

klockwize is an unknown quantity at this point
set your left and right locator to the desired length, the go to "process" then "audio" then down the the bottom "time stretch" the click the little box that says "set to locators" ;)

^nah man that doesn't work.. because if you import a wav and its 20 seconds .. and it snaps to the grid and turns it into a second long, it won't let you timestretch that much.

you just double click on the wav and click this one button that looks like a musical note / arrow sorta thing on the right. it's all good though like i said i figured it out.
