What pisses me off it I like the look of the 700s so much. I wanna keep mine alive as long as possible. |

i went through 3 pairs of senns which all cracked in that same spot. then i got the hdj-1000's. i honestly dont think there is a pair of headphones out there right now that wont break after a year, so buy them from somewhere that gives a good warranty. im lucky my senns had a 3yr warranty otherwise it would've gotten pretty pricey after going through 3 of them. |

yeh i had the senn's as well, same cracking cuz they kept falling off a table... but some neatly placed duck tape helped out and now i have no complaints... still great sounding headphones with excellant sound isolation.. i wanna give the pioneer's a whirl one day though... im not a big fan of the 700's no matter how well they "look"

I use to have the popular technics ones. Loved them mostly cus they were small enough and good quality... However when wearing them on the shoulder the round rubber part started to come off when rubbing against the plastic
(if that makes sence?) After about 2 years I noticed the sound going funny... but I think that was more from the plug. I recently got the pioneer HDJ-1000's. They fit and have great sound! I dont like the way you have to bend them up when putting them away, they also stretch funny and I think there gonna break :/ I would agree that alot of it has to do with how you take care of them. I think wearing them on your side causes more problems as I see dj's in panic riping them on off their head/ear and putting presure on the head phones in ways they probly shouldnt.
