I've taken the after pill once, its was quite the experience.. I got it 2 days after cause I ws to scared that my doctor would judge me the first time and things.. though.. I had to lie to him about what really happen, but I much rather not get into the real reason. I didn't take gravol though.. I was totaly fine. I got a bit of a stomac ache but that was it.. I just carried on with my day regualarly.. and all was good!
My best friend came in with me to see my doctor though.. cause yeah.. I didn't wanna be judge, it was my biggest fear let alone that I didn't want my mom to find out! but he was cool about it.

I just dont understand why you all got sick.. and I didn't...
but it did make me eat a LOT!

Also, mine was free, but I went through my doctor.. so I dont know if that made a diffrence?!

I had to take it once because the condom broke. That was before I was on any other form of birthcontrol. We went to the hospital as soon as it happened though. (ok. after it happened, because we figured if we had to go to the clinic or wherever anyways, we might as well enjoy the moment first). Now I was lucky because the hospital was dead that nite (no pun intended) and I got in right away. It's free there. don't need a prescription or anything of course.

HOWEVER, on the topic of getting the MAP for a friend...If she can't go talk to a doctor about getting the pill for herself, why is she having sex in the first place?? Why wouldn't she get the pill herself?

but yeah, your doctor shouldn't judge you for you actions... despite circumstances, a doctor should be there to tell you the facts and help you out, what's done is done and over with, so i'm sure he wouldn't have judged......... would he?

the morning after pill is the only medication that a pharmacist can prescribe, so maybe that's what may have confused you girls

in my opinion, go with Plan B, it causes less nausea

if you do go with ovral, take some gravol with it as well

and go your local hospital clinic, it's free so i've been told.

it's there way of gettin you to use their product, so in the future, you'll most likely end up buying their brand because "you know it works"

Sometimes, irresponsible sex isn't always the case. Like people have mentioned, there are lots of situations, like the condom breaks. Other times, you just get carried away and there may be no actual sex, but enough contact to cause concern.
Thats what happened in my case.

Anyway, one can get a MAP from most clinics for free but the female has to get it, a guy can't. If you go to the hospital they will most likely give you multiple quantity of BCP to take within 24 hours to induce the same effect.

If you do a search on the net for this information you can compare what the content of most MAP are and when you check a BCP brand they are normally 25% the dosage. Some BCP are more effective (you take less of them) as they contain a higher % of the substance you need from a MAP.

also the idea of keeping a stash of BCP as a quick fix kit is a NOT a good idea for not using protection. The female body does not like to have that much stuff in its bloodstream at once. Do it one too many times and who knows what may happen.

ive had to take it once.....condom broke....on new years night....i was soooo scared to get pregnant....so i went first thing in the morning to the clinic...my doctor just gave it to me...i didnt hve to py or anything...i took a gravol and i didnt feel sick at all...maybe i didnt even need the gravol...im not sure...oh well....i really really hope i dont need to take it again....the scare was even enough for me!
