I've seen them work very well! did you or your friend consult with our service line? no offense but any noob can crop a half pound off a BloomBox. we don't just sell a box we also offer full customer support. numerous compassion clubs and other pro growers swear by our product so rest assured it works very well if used properly. also this is only our 6th year in business so there has been a learning curve. maybe the box you had was a first generation unit? I can guarantee neither heat or humidity are a problem if you're using the product locally and if they were we can help you find solutions.

I just grow one legal plant at a time, out of a setup I have in my closet I made. Just have an adjustable flourescent light, a 10 gallon bucket and a 25 gallon grow bucket. Have a little fan to control air flow with a thermostat and I ensure my humidity stays around 70-85%. I dont grow amsterdam style legal herbs but its as good as the stuff you can buy at a co-op, but not quite amsterdam quality. I can harvest 3/4 of a pound to 1 1/4 of a pound every 2 months which is plenty for me.

Haha! No can do buddy. My mini in-home legal plants (grown for aesthetic purposes) are a very personal thing. Plus, call me paranoid, but if anybody decided on their own that my set up even looked illegal reputations could be on the line. It only takes allegations not actual evidence to ruin lives.

Plus its really not much to look at. Its a closet with a fan a vent piping and velcro strips to adjust my light. Oh and something to protect my carpet against too much dirt.

Adjustible flourescent????? And your humidity needs to be at 50-65 depending upon what part of the cycle it's in. do you have a licence to grow? or do you assume if you only have one plant it's legal? |
|
|||
I assume nothing, thanks for the tip I have heard different. I do not grow any plant that are illegal, period.

I work for BCNL too. The Coliseum is $20,000 before you pay for and construct the room around it. It does not come with air scrubbers, ventilation or any other environmental controls. The BloomBox is $3400 and does not require any additional work. You get a fully contained medical grade indoor garden, nutrients, training and support. You can put these things anywhere and move them anywhere, anytime as they are on casters. They also have commercial locks. I've never heard a complaint a bout humidity with our units. Yes, heat was a problem with the old 600W set-ups, but we have now standardized on 400W and recognized no performance drop, while reducing heat considerably. In fairness, it is easy to confuse one inddor grow-box with another. Ours is the only one on the market that is actually built for the purpose of growing. The other stuff you see out there is a Home Depot tool shed or a Staples filing cabinet with gear stuffed in it. BLOOMBOX http://www.bcnorthernlights.ca/manuals/Bloombox.pdf |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
APRIL 15th 2008 BC Company Soars on "Grow Your Own" Technology (Surrey, BC) - With increasing public concern over illegal marijuana grow operations, from gang-related violence to fire safety, to rental homes ruined by mold and moisture - and the government of Canada failing to provide a qualified and safe alternative for medicinal users - one of BC’s fastest-growing companies has developed an innovative crime-free response. With over 3000 happy customers worldwide, BC Northern Lights is now the global leader in "Grow Your Own" technology. Not Shy About Roots BCNL's VP of Marketing Sean Karl states, “This is a true BC success story. We're a bunch of BC guys that know a thing or two about hydroponics. We started out by selling medical grade indoor gardens to the "High Times" crowd. We've had units financed by the Tainted Blood settlement and we've received R&D credits through the government of Canada. We employ 14 people on a full-time basis and though our core customer is still the personal cannabis grower, we've launched a brand-new product line aimed specifically at growing foodstuffs inside the home. Beyond that, we encourage a climate where everyone can grow their own and we hope that society sees the value in what we do." With crime-based grow operations pumping out 50 - 200 pounds of BC bud each month, the company hopes to cash in on society's growing acceptance of medicinal and "personal" use. It's largest unit, The Producer, will yield about 2 pounds of the good stuff every 2 months in experienced hands. "Criminals aren't interested in our products. For them it's business and they can get a whole lot more bang for their buck by tearing up a house. Our customers are typically older working folks and professionals who have chosen to grow their own. They want to take control of their own supply, take money out of the hands of criminals and have a whole lot of fun doing it safely." "Aside from that, hydroponics is a hugely interesting area. People are growing tropical fruits, exotic peppers, fresh herbs, rare flowers and bonsai in our gardens. Given the trend toward condominium living, we think there is tremendous opportunity to expand our reach.” Support. Security. Safety. Along with top of the line products, BCNL stands out for providing custom feeding schedules, unlimited toll-free technical support and growing advice. It's user manuals include plenty of information on cloning, propagating and flowering plants hydroponically. Karl continues, "We respect the laws of the land and we're grateful that Canadians have the freedom to hold open discussions about medicinal use of cannabis, but our laws don't apply around the world. We provide unlimited toll-free technical support 16 hours per day, 7 days a week and speak only about generic plants. If people need to get more specific information about cannabis growing in our gardens we provide a password-protected medicinal growing forum on our Canadian web domain." In terms of safety and security, most home hydroponic kits wouldn’t pass a sniff test. Most indoor gardens today are crudely wired Home Depot tool sheds or Staples filing cabinets stuffed with grow lights and fans. On the other end is the spectacularly quaint Aerogarden, which sizzles, but doesn't provide much steak. In contrast, BCNL's Bloombox, Producer and Mothership are CAD designed and computer-controlled intelligent growing environments. They're manufactured from medical grade aluminum, come with commercial locks and regulate all levels of lighting watering, CO2 and air filtration. The units plug into a standard household socket and use less power than a refrigerator. Press Conference Friday April 18th 2008 BC Northern Lights will host a private press presentation, product demo and facility tour from 10AM-12PM on Friday April 18th 2008 at its plant and showroom in Surrey BC. #311-13060 80th Ave To reserve a space please contact Sean Karl at 604.726.5003 or e-mail [email protected] -30- |
